Regarding Administrative Guidance Issued by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications

LY Corporation today received administrative guidance from the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications.

We take this administrative guidance seriously and we will endeavor to reestablish the trust of all, making every effort to ensure that our users and relevant parties can utilize our services with confidence and peace of mind.

■Guidance from the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications

(1) Acceleration of fundamental review and strengthening of safety management and contractor management measures
(2) Acceleration of discussions on essential review of security governance involving the entire group, including the parent company
(3) Thorough customer support through periodic disclosure of the progress of initiatives, etc.

On March 5, 2024, we received the “Administrative Guidance on Protecting the Secrecy of Communications and Ensuring Rigorous Cybersecurity Measures” and have worked to implement rigorous user-oriented measures (such as sharing information relevant to users) in addition to conducting a fundamental review and strengthening of safety management and contractor management measures, and fundamentally reviewing and strengthening our security governance across the entire LY Corporation Group including our parent company. On April 1, 2024, we submitted a report to the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications regarding these measures. However, based on the administrative guidance from the Ministry received today, we will further accelerate the implementation of these measures.
