Submission of Report to Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications and Opening of Dedicated Incident Page

LY Corporation has submitted a report today to the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications of Japan regarding the “Administrative Guidance on Protecting the Secrecy of Communications and Ensuring Rigorous Cybersecurity Measures” it received from the Ministry on March 5, 2024.

In addition, we have today opened a dedicated page on our corporate website to provide an overview of the incident, progress reports on countermeasures being taken to prevent recurrence, and other relevant information. Along with information on the various measures we are taking to address the “(1) Fundamental review and strengthening of safety management and contractor management measures based on this incident” as stated in the directive document, we will promptly update the page whenever there is information that needs to be published in the interest of protecting our users.

We will move forward with more rigorous user-oriented measures (such as sharing information relevant to users) in addition to conducting a fundamental review and strengthening of safety management and contractor management measures, and fundamentally reviewing and strengthening our security governance across the entire LY Corporation Group including our parent company.
We will endeavor to reestablish the trust of all, and will make every effort to ensure that our users and relevant parties can utilize our services with confidence and peace of mind.
