Notice Regarding the Request for a Report, Etc. and Recommendation on Unauthorized Access Received from the Personal Information Protection Commission of Japan

LY Corporation today received a request for a report, etc. and a recommendation from the Personal Information Protection Commission of Japan. Again, we sincerely apologize to our users and stakeholders for any concern or inconvenience this may have caused.

We are considering measures to reinforce our security governance structure and as announced on February 14, 2024 in the “Notice on Countermeasures Being Taken to Prevent Recurrence of Unauthorized Access and Personal Information Leakage,”* we are actively implementing measures to prevent a recurrence, including strengthening contractor management, mitigating and fortifying protections against the risks associated with our systems and networks, and enhancing the security of our employee systems.

We take this request for a report, etc. and recommendation seriously, endeavoring to reestablish the trust of all, and making every effort to ensure that our users and relevant parties can utilize our services with confidence and peace of mind.
