So here is the card I came up with for this mother's day. Its become more than just giving a card because currently, she's really pissed at me! We quarrelled yesterday on a MOST trivial topic and I've noticed that the loudest quarrels always stem from the stupidest things. Don't you agree? I hope she is blown away by the supposed loveliness of the card and forgives me on the spot.
The patterned paper is from the DCWV Heirloom stack(which I badgered my brother to buy for me). I used this particular one, because to me it seemed to be a bit like a saree print! I used a hole punch to simulate a border punch, handmade the roses from my favourite pastel shades and wrote the sentiment to finish off the card.
Entering this in the Lulupu challenge(hope it qualifies!) and the Muse challenge.

ReplyDeleteIts a beautiful card Somdeepa, your mom will treasure it...and the quarrels and the silly arguments make great memories in life, this reminds me of my fights with my mom, just a couple of years ago, and now when we sit together and look back, we always have a good laugh, and these are great stories for my kids too...Cherish every moment of it!

ReplyDeletethere's no doubt your card is just fabulous Somadeepa .I love the touch of elegance that PP adds to your card along with the beautiful handmade blooms !
ReplyDeleteBut I don't think your card qualifies for our challenge #30 as we have specified the use of Border punches in the projects made..Though your idea is really superb of creating that border with a hole punch.
I do hope you play along our current challenge though :)
