BACKGROUND
Based on the editorial reclassification of certain provisions in the United States Code, a number of Code citations found in statutory references need to be updated. To update the Code citations, the Office of the Law Revision Counsel has prepared, and submitted to the House Committee on the Judiciary for introduction in the 116th Congress, five technical amendment bills. Updated versions of four of the bills were prepared by the Office and submitted to the Committee for introduction in the 117th Congress. Links to the five bills (and accompanying explanations) are provided below. In addition, a history of activity including predecessor bills is provided. Questions and comments may be directed to Ken Paretzky, Senior Counsel (ken.paretzky@mail.house.gov).
