Prof. Dr. Christian Bühler

Christian Bühler is the Chair of Rehabilitation Technology and Vice-dean for Budget and Structure of the Faculty of Rehabilitation Sciences at the Technical University of Dortmund. After earning a degree in electrical engineering from the University of Karlsruhe, Christian Bühler worked as a research assistant in the Automation and Information Technology Group (AIT) at the Fernuniversität Hagen (distance teaching university) and the Robotics Research Institute (IRF) at the Technical University of Dortmund. In 1991, he was appointed Head of the Research Institute for Technology and Disability of the Protestant Foundation Volmarstein in Wetter, Germany. Since 1991, he has represented the Federal Republic of Germany in the expert committees of the European Union, and he has been an Honorary Professor of Rehabilitation Engineering at the Fernuniversität Hagen since 1997.
