Photos Emma Langford in Viedma, Rio Negro

One group made a giant poster for the school to celebrate Children's Day! I asked them all to sign their names, trace their hands, draw hearts or stars or whatever they liked on it - I think I had as much fun as they did!

This week is Día del Niño so I'm coordinating a bunch of games, songs, and activities for the younger classes at both institutes I'm teaching at - the St Thomas More Institutes of Viedma and Patagones.

While Viedma is quite modern and boasts a beautiful riverside walk, Patagones is the historical hub of the area with lots of museums, the navy base and beautiful Italian looking old buildings as the photo shows.

The Río Negro runs between the two towns and is where the young people here spend a lot of time when the weather picks up.

I live in Viedma but take a boat across the river for 2pesos to the sister town of Patagones for work and my lessons.
