Dear friends:
 
 When I try to compile VMD from source:
 
 make LINUXAMD64
 
  I get this error:
 
 Building Molecule File Reader plugins
 /usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lnetcdf
 collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
 make[2]: *** [../compile/lib_LINUXAMD64/bin/catdcd4.0/catdcd] Error 1
 /bin/sh: line 0: cd: cliptool: No such file or directory
 /bin/sh: line 0: cd: colorscalebar: No such file or directory
 /bin/sh: line 0: cd: contactmap: No such file or directory
 /bin/sh: line 0: cd: dataimport: No such file or directory
 /bin/sh: line 0: cd: demomaster: No such file or directory
 /bin/sh: line 0: cd: execto
 
 etc....
 
 I guess that netcdf libraries are not found, but what file can I edit for VMD to find them?
 
 What can I do?
