Hi,
You can accomplish this in a couple different ways:
1) Set the color scale with your own custom colors and enable the update color
every frame checkbox in the trajectory tab. See the tricolor_scale
example procedure here:

or
2) Create four reps with atom selections that specify each of the 4 possible
values you're interested in, use the color by ColorID method and select a
different color for each of the four possibilities, then enable the
"update selection every frame" checkbox in the trajectory tab.
