Judging by the kernel versions and dates, it would appear that Oliver's
machine has a much more recently built kernel, perhaps the issue here
is that Ioana's machine has a much older Linux install on it. Ioana,
can you ask your systems people what version of the system software you're
running and how old it is? Oliver, yours looks like its very recent, but
it might also be informative to collect the same information so we can
figure out how SGI's Linux relates to what other distributions are shipping.
Ioana, is your machine an Altix, or is it a Prism? I assume that the
Linux distribution that shipped with the early Altix machines didn't
contain as complete of a distribution as far as OpenGL etc went, so
if yours is an Altix and you guys have had it for a while that may explain
why you're missing some libraries that Oliver obviously has.
