Phil,
  I've just added a new build target for Linux running on Itanium, which
should cover the SGI Altix, Prism, and the various NSF Teragrid machines
here in the U.S. I'm close to having a complete build of VMD of this
new LINUXIA64 target ready for testing, I'll announce when it's available.

I've also just built a 32-bit VMD on AIX5, and will be trying a 64-bit
AIX5 build as well, if anyone wants binaries for those platforms.
