Hi John,
I think if you have a compiled installation in
/usr/lib/python2.3/site-packages/..
the compiled pyc files for 2.3 will not work for python 2.2.
You will need python2.2 to install in python2.2/site-packages,
or have the user to have a copy of the modules and then point to this
using PYTHONPATH,
