Hello,
I have problems running a compiled vmd 1.8.1 or 1.8.2 on a Redhat Linux 7.3.
At startup, vmd writes :
Info) Textures: 2-D (2048x2048), 3-D (2048x2048x2048), Multitexture (2)
Info) Starting VMD text interpreter...
but does not, so it is not possible to type any command.
When gdb-ing the vmd binary, it seems stuck in a select. The trace is :
0x420e19ee in select () from /lib/i686/libc.so.6
(gdb) bt
#0 0x420e19ee in select () from /lib/i686/libc.so.6

Thanks for your help,
