Lars,
We're still trying to figure out what is causing the os.listdir
problem with Python. It only occurs on some platforms, and not on others,
i.e. it breaks on Linux, but not Solaris if I recall correctly.
We've done a number of things including running the embedded Python interpreter
through Purify to see if there are bad things happening when it runs inside
VMD. We did find and correct a couple of very small things, however I don't
think we've nailed the root cause of the os.listdir issue yet. If we find
a solution for this, we'll post about it.
Thanks,
John Stone
