Yukti Sharma
Project Lead, National Digital Health Mission, NHA
Yukti is an engineering graduate with over three years of experience working in the Tech Industry. She is passionate about working in the development sector with a keen interest to work at the intersection of social innovation, technology, and policy. Prior to joining the IIC, she worked as a product manager with a tech startup. She was responsible for Operations strategy, Product Design and Development of Digital KYC products, built on AI and recognition technologies, designed to identify, authenticate and validate Indian and southeast Asian ID documents. In her capacity, she worked with regulatory bodies around Data Protection, Security and Privacy.
She was a Young India Fellow and as part of the fellowship, she extensively worked with women from low-income households in Punjab to develop meaningful livelihood opportunities. She believes in social innovation and technology’s power to act as an enabler to derive high impact solutions. Her belief brought her to IIC and she is currently working with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare in the adoption of AI technologies and shape the policy around it.
Outside work, she loves to paint and is an art history aficionado. Currently, she is determined to learn ceramic pottery and do her bit for animal welfare.
