In the meantime the people of Corcyra, fearing extremely lest those galleys should come against the city, not only conferred with those in sanctuary and with the rest about how the city might be preserved but also induced some of them to go aboard.
For notwithstanding the sedition they manned thirty galleys in expectation that the fleet of the enemy should have entered.
