--This officer, of Wheeler's command, whose death is announced in Federal accounts as resulting from a wound received in Tennessee during the recent raid into that State, was a gallant officer, and one of the youngest in the service, not being more than twenty-five years of age. He was from Wilcox county, Alabama.
