15.37 f.—(2) baleful (if α copulative), or mad, of the
suitors' contest with the bow, Od.
21.81 (echoed by Odysseus, Od.
22.5). —Signif. (2) may be assumed in Il. 14 instead of (1), representing the Styx
as baleful to him who swears falsely in its name.
