HORREUM MARGI

Eth. HORREUM MARGI (Morawa Hissar), a town in Moesia, on the river Margus, where, according to the Ant. Itinerary (219), the Legio XIV Gemina, and according to the Not. Imperii (30) the Legio XIII Gemina, was stationed. (Comp. Itin. Ant. 134; Geogr. Rav. 4.7; It. Hieros. 565, where the name is Oromagus; Hierocl. p. 657, Ὀρθέμαρχος; and Ptol. 3.9.5, Ὀρρέα.
