ETHO´PIA

ETHO´PIA a town or fortress of Athamania, situated on a hill commanding Argithea, the capital of the country. It contained a temple of Jupiter Acraeus. (Liv. 38.2; Leake, Northern Greece, vol. iv. p. 525, seq.)
