I.Peparethus (now Piperi), a small island in the Ægean Sea, one of the Cyclades, famous for wine and oil, with a town of the same name, now Scopelo: “ferax Peparethos olivae,Ov. M. 7, 470; cf. Liv. 28, 5, 10; 31, 28, 6.—Hence,
II. Pĕpărēthĭus , a, um, adj., of or belonging to Peparethos, Peparethian: “vinum,Plin. 14, 7, 9, § 76.
