3. metaph., ἐπέων πολὺς ν. ἔνθα καὶ ἔνθα a wide range for words (but expld. by Sch. as = νέμησις, apportionment), Il.20.249; πάντῃ . . νόμος νομοὶ Barnes) “βεβλήαται ᾠδῆςh.Ap.20; but, ἐπέων ν. expenditure of words, Hes. Op.403.
