κατανείφω , fut. -νείψω (v. infr.),
A.snow all over, cover with snow, κατένειψε Χιόνι τὴν Θρᾴκην [ θεός], i.e. snow fell over all Thrace, Ar. Ach.138:—Pass., Plu.Luc.24: metaph., sprinkle as with snow, Luc. VH2.14; “κατανείψων ἀπὸ γλώσσης ἅπανταςId.Lex.15.
II. abs., κατανείφει it snows, κεἰ κριμνώδη κατανείφοι even were it to snow thick as meal, Ar.Nu.965.
