δοξ-αστικός , ή, όν,
A.forming opinions, conjecturing, opp. ἐπιστήμων, Pl.Tht.207c; δ. ἐπιστήμη conjectural knowledge, Id.Sph.233c, cf. 268c; “δ. ἔννοιαι” pertaining to judgement, Epicur.Sent.24; τὰς δοξαστικὰς (sc. φαντασίας) belonging to opinion, Phld.Herc.1003; τὸ δ. [μέρος τῆς ψυχῆς], opp. τὸ ἐπιστημονικόν, Arist.EN1140b26.
2. in good sense, original, full of ideas, “ψυχὴ ἀνδρικὴ καὶ δ.” Isoc.13.17: “τὸ -κόν” Antig.Nic. ap. Heph. Astr.2.18.
