ἄμετρος , ον,
A.without or beyond measure, immense, “κακόν” Simon. 37.16 codd.; opp. μετρητός, Pl.Lg.820c. Adv. “-τρως” Id.Phd.86c, etc.: neut. pl. as Adv., Babr.11.10.
2. immoderate, in moral sense, Pl.Lg.690e, etc. Adv. “-τρως” X.Cyr.1.6.34.
3. neverceasing, “τέττιγες” Simon.174.
4. disproportionate, Pl.Ti.87e: Sup. “-ότατος” most unequal, Cleom.1.7.
II. without metre, prosaic, opp. ἔμμετρος, Arist.Po.1451b1, D.H.Comp.3, etc. Adv. “-τρως” unmetrically, Critias 4; not in metre, Poll.1.19.
III. ἄμετρος, = βάτος, Dsc.4.37.
