Med., take out for oneself, φαρέτρης ἐξείλετο πικρὸν ὀϊστόν from his quiver, Il.8.323; ἐξελέσθαι τὰ μεγάλα ἱστία their large sails, X.HG1.1.13; . τὰ φορτία discharge their cargoes, Hdt.4.196; “τὰ ἀγώγιμαX.An.5.1.16; “τὸν σῖτον ἐς [τὴν στοὰν] ἐξαιρεῖσθαιTh.8.90: abs., Syngr. ap. D.35.13, etc.:—Pass., to be discharged, of a cargo, Hdt.3.6, D.34.8.

2. bring to an end, accomplish, πᾶν γὰρ ἐξαιρεῖλόγοςE.Ph.516.—Freq. confounded with ἐξαίρω.
