καὶ μὴν οὐδείς γε ὑμῶν ἀγνοεῖ ὅτι θᾶττον ἂν ἐγχειριδίῳ πληγεὶς ἀπέθανεν ἢ πὺξ παιόμενος. φαίνεται τοίνυν οὐδ᾽ αὐτὸς αἰτιώμενος τοιοῦτόν τι ἔχοντας ἡμᾶς ἐλθεῖν, ἀλλ᾽ ὀστράκῳ φησὶ πληγῆναι. καίτοι φανερὸν ἤδη ἐξ ὧν εἴρηκεν, ὅτι οὐ πρόνοια γεγένηται.
