ἀλλ᾽ οἵδε μητρὸς νεοφόνοις ἐν αἵμασι
πεφυρμένοι βαίνουσιν ἐξ οἴκων πόδα,
τροπαῖα δείγματ᾽ ἀθλίων προσφαγμάτων.
1175οὐκ ἔστιν οὐδεὶς οἶκος ἀθλιώτερος
τῶν Τανταλείων οὐδ᾽ ἔφυ ποτ᾽ ἐκγόνων.
