A move in the right direction. --Governor Pettus, of Mississippi, has issued a proclamation, calling on the State and county officers to collect up all the arms, rifles and shot guns, new or old, in or out of order, and send them to Jackson, the capital of the State, where they may be repaired and hold in readiness for the use of the soldiers.
