Mayor's Court. --The following cases were acted on by the Mayor yesterday: Rebecca Chandler, a white girl about eighteen years of age, charged with cutting and stabbing Henry, slave of Wm. A. Wright, was examined and committed to jail in default of security for future good behavior. --Watchman Lucas, who arrested her, testified that on Wednesday night about nine o'clock he was accosted by Henry at the corner of 14th and Main streets, and informed that Rebecca had stabbed him. Hearing some further disturbance down the street, he proceeded to the spot, and there found the accused in a violent rage, cursing at every one passing along and brandishing a large sized bowie knife, whereupon he took her in custody. When asked by him why she had stabbed the negro boy, she ripped out a horrid oath and threatened to cut him (the witness) also. The prisoner did not deny the evidence given by Watchman Lucas, but stated in extenuation of her conduct that the negro fellow whom she stabb
