Judge Halyburton was engaged on Saturday in hearing a habeas corpus case of one of Captain Wren's old command, who volunteered for local service, being then exempt from military duty, but who has since then been put into general service and sent to Gloucester county to perform duty. If local service now means anywhere in the Confederacy, then all of the members of Captain Wren's old command are liable to be sent to the Rocky Mountains, or anywhere else. If it means around and within ten but who has since then been put into general service and sent to Gloucester county to perform duty.
