e last County Court appointed the following gentlemen as a committee to superintend the Confederate loan in the county: Henry Wood, E. R. Chambers, William Townes, William Baskerville, Jr., Dr. Samuel. Saunders, and B. W. Leigh. Mr. Wood informs me Mr. Wood informs me that the prospect is flattering for a liberal loan.
