The cotton Trade--McHenry.
--This valuable work, imported by the enterprising firm of West & Johnston from London, will attract much attention in the Confederate States.
It contains the celebrated letter of George McHenry to Mr. Gregory, M. P., on the cotton question, many of the statements of which have been realized with prophetic accuracy.
It is a volume in which all the assertions are sustained by statistics, gathered with great care, and is of great value to the statesman as well as of interest to the general reader.
The book, like all specimens of English typography, is very handsomely gotten up, and embellished with an attractive binding.
