From Suffolk. On Monday lest a heavy skirmish, initiated by the enemy occurred near Suffolk. It seems that the enemy attempted to drive in the pickets on the right of our lines, when a sharp engagement ensued, which soon extended along the entire line.--The enemy were finally driven back, leaving on the field a portion of their dead, some seven or eight of whom were found in one locality. In this skirmish Thomas Danncy, of the Fayette Artillery, from Richmond, was wounded. The same comest a heavy skirmish, initiated by the enemy occurred near Suffolk. Prison Items --George Folks, a free negro, was brought from suffolk yesterday and dred in Castle Thunder, for trial on the charge of carrying information to the enemy, Robert T. Moore, of the 18th Virginia Battalion, and five other soldiers, were lodged in the same place, to await sentence of court-martial at the Libby Prison but one was received and he belonged to Corcoral's old regiment, the 69th New York, and was captured a few days since near Suffolk. Va. A number of others were however, expected.
