Cairo, Ill., Oct. 20. --The gun-boat Conestoga made a reconnoissance of the Tennessee river, yesterday, as far as the State line. A strong rebel force was discovered near the Tennessee line. The Conestoga returned this afternoon, having seized two barges, loaded with flour, destined for a rebel camp. It is reported that the rebels were in strong force at Blandville on Saturday; also, that Hardee's force, 6,000 strong, was at Belmont, Mo. The California Pony Express to be Discontinued.
