ville (Ga.) Recorder publishes the following: The bill introduced by Mr. Sheats was amended, on motion of Mr. Black, so as to change the name of Cassville to Bartowville, and in this form the bill was unanimously passed in the House of Representatives on the 13th inst., to change the name of Cass county to that of Bartow. The scene was solemn and impressive. Remarks were made by Mr. Hargrove, who was in the battle of Manassas, in the 7th Georgia Regiment, and by Mr. Speaker Akin, (Mr. Tatum, of Dade, in the Chair,) who was in Richmond when the battle was fought, and also by Messrs. Lester, Cochran, of Glynn, Black and Norwood. When the question was taken on the passage of the bill, all the members of the House rose to their feet in the affirmative, in honor of the "illustrious Bartow, who was killed while gallantly leading his men in battle." The House then adjourned until 9 o'clock the next morning. Arrest of Tennessee traitors. The Atlanta Confederacy says seven
Negro Delinquents. --Susan, slave of Dr. Tatum, was arraigned before the Mayor yesterday, charged with stealing sundry articles of clothing and $25 in money from Philip Hirshberg; but Mr. H. seemed to know but little about it, and Sarah was discharged with a slight punishment. Gabriel, slave of Dr. Edward Warren, of N. C., was arraigned for some practices unbecoming in a negro, and as a runaway; sentence accordingly. Joe, slave of Susan Bagnall, charged with entering F. W. Bass's boarding-house "burglariously," with intent to steal, was proved by R. H. Mayo not to have entered burglariously, and was let off with 30 lashes — a light sentence, since Joe is a noted thief. Annanias Mann, a free negro, was arraigned for stealing a coat and pair of boots, $40 in value, from Edward E. Portlock. As Mr. Portlock, failed to prove Annanias was much more of a sinner than the father so prominently mentioned in the Scriptures — at least he failed to prove that he stole his gar

Two gunboats, one having three bags in filled with men, and a with two in also filled with men, were observed on Saturday morning coming from the northward, apparently from a reconnaissance of Long Island.
