Samuel, son of Thomas and——, was born in England, August 6, 1627.
He married, 1st, Mary, daughter of Seth Sweetser, January 3, 1655, and 2d, Hannah Doggett, June 24, 1673.
He lived on the Blanchard farm till 1686, and had ten children born there.
In 1686 he removed to Andover, where he was a prominent citizen.
He died there, April 22, 1707, aged 80.
III.
Joshua, son of Samuel and Mary (Sweetser), a carpenter and mason, was born in Charlestown, August 6, 1661, and lived on that part of the Blanchard farm owned by his father.
He married, 1st, Elizabeth——, who died July 15, 1688, aged 21; 2d, Mehitabel——, who died January 10, 1742, aged 76.
He died July 15, 1716, in his 55th year.
The three gravestones can be seen in the old burying ground in Malden.
He had eight children.
