Accident.
--A negro man, employed in Sims's planing mill, on Main street, had one of his arms badly crushed by being caught in the belting of the machinery.

--Ran away from Turkey Island, on Wednesday last, two negro men, viz:
Daniel, very black, 6 feet 2 or 3 inches high, about 34 or 35 years old. large frame and limbs.

The trial of Messrs. Brown, Sims, and King, for interfering with the police in the discharge of their duties, was concluded, and the parties acquitted.

August Rupert, indicted for selling liquor without a license.
Fined $60 and costs.
Napoleon Burke and John Hammond, Provost Detectives, indicted for assaulting Michael Walls.
Nolle prosequi entered.
Francis Devine, indicted for shooting at Benjamin G. Williams in the street.
Found guilty, fined $100 and costs, and sent to jail for six months.
V. Gerard, indicted for attempting to steal a hog from Mrs. Longest.
