Rodes's division consisted of five brigades, to-wit: Paniel's, Iverson's and Ramseur's North Carolina brigades, Doles's Georgia brigade, and Rodes's (old) Alabama brigade, commande Daniel was in line three hundred yards or more behind Iverson's right, to protect that flank.
