The London times. --A London correspondent of the Boston Post writes: "The chancery suit of 'Platt and Walter, M. P.,' has made public some not uninteresting facts concerning the Timesnewspaper — its origin and career — which deserves more than the publicity of a legal report. It appears, from the facts set forth, that the Times was established about the year 1788 by John Walter, the grandfather of the present proprietor and manager. That in the year 1863 this gentleman transferred the entire management of this paper, together with that of a minor publication grafted in it and called the Evening Mail to John Walter, the father of the present proprietor, and that he, by his will, made in 1810, continued his son, John Walter, sole manager, in trust for his own benefit and that of the rest of the large family of which he was a member.
