The superintendent of the Chesapeake and Ohio canal, in a letter dated at Point of Rocks, Maryland, says Mosby made a raid on the boats on Saturday, capturing and burning four or five and carrying away many mules and horses and some prisoners.--Many boats are there, but will not move until something be done by the military authorities for their protection. Gold opened in New York on Tuesday at 215, and under reports that the Government was selling, fell to 205⅞. From this point it rallied to 211, and closed at 209¾. It was reported at Memphis on Sunday evening that General Forrest, at the h
