Affairs in Western Virginia.
The Yankees recently made a raid into Hampshire county, carrying off several citizens who refused to take the oath of allegiance, and stealing a score or two of horses.--Capt. McNeil, with sixty-five men, attacked a train of the enemy, within six miles of Winchester, cut and badly damaged the wagons with axes, brought off twenty three horses (very valuable) and twenty-eight prisoners.--In this fight he lost no men killed or wounded.
Yankee loss, two killed and two badly wounded.
Four of the horses captured were of Gen. Millroy's staff wagon, and valued at $1,000 a piece.
It is further stated that a malignant fever is raging in Winchester both among the citizens and soldiers.
