s of eighteen and forty-five years, who will not volunteer in the Confederate service, who have a gun or guns, are required to deliver said gun or guns, within twenty days, in Glasgow, Ky., at the office of the undersigned, Inspector of Arms for Barren County. All persons, within the ages above named, who have taxable property to the value of five hundred dollars, and upwards, who have no gun, will attend at the office aforesaid, at the time aforesaid, and make oath to the same, and pay twenty dollars. For which amount, and all guns that are delivered, the said inspector will receipt; which receipt will be evidence of debt against said Confederate Government. All persons, failing to comply with this requisition, will subject themselves to a fine of fifty dollars, and imprisonment until said fine is paid. The undersigned is authorized to receive, accept and qualify, volunteers for the Confederate service, for the term of twelve months. Z. Mcdaniel, Inspector of Arms, Barren County.

eet again to-morrow morning, at ten o'clock. Ayes twenty-three, nays twenty-two, and the Conference accordingly adjourned. Wednesday, Oct. 30, 1861. The Conference met pursuant to adjournment. The journal of yesterday was read and approved. The following gentlemen appeared and took seats in the Conference, viz.: From Carroll County, H. L. Giltner; from Anderson County, J. H. D. McKee; from Muhlenburg County, W. U. Wand; from Woodford County, Sandford Lyne; from Monroe County, Z. McDaniel; from Christian County, Henry Young; from Campbell County, George B. Hodge; from Jefferson County, J. B. Bell. Colonel G. W. Johnson, of Scott County, presented a series of resolutions for the consideration of the Conference. R. McKee, of the city of Louisville, offered a substitute for the resolutions presented by Mr. Johnson. H. W. Bruce, of the city of Louisville, offered an amendment to the original resolutions. Stop the Runaways.--one thousand dollars reward. --Ran off from the subscribers, on the night of the 29th instant, our negro men, Dick and Cornelius. Dick is twenty-eight years of age; dark copper color; five feet nine or ten inches high; and has a moustache and goatee. He had on when he left a gray sack coat and pants, and a black slouch hat.--He is sprightly in conversation. Cornelius is twenty-five years old; complexion dark; five feet eleven inches high; and had on when he left a pair of gray pants and light-colored wool hat. His shoes were old, and each had a cap on. He speaks quickly when spoken to. It is supposed that these negroes are making their way to the Yankees.
