Parsons, with Raines's and Green's rebel forces, had succeeded in capturing Montgomery and his Jayhawkers, together with Lane's forces, at Fort Scott, on the 23d. Lane escaped. McCulloch has surrounded Seigle's forces, at Zedalia, and a battle was hourly expected.
