Flag of truce.
A Yankee truce steamer arrived at Varina a day or two since, and was communicated with yesterday by the officers of the Exchange Bureau.
She brought the following passengers from Old Point: Capt. Robert W. Baylor, of the 12th Virginia cavalry; Capt. James L. Goker, of the 6th regiment S. C. volunteers, (wounded in Tennessee,) and his mother; Sergeant Samuel J. Nettles, company E., same regiment; Mrs. Dr. Webb and two children, from Kentucky; Miss.
Gunby, of Maryland, sent through the Federal lines after a term of imprisonment for "disloyalty" to the Yankee Government; Mrs. Lee, daughter of Hill Carter, of Shirley; George S. Ayer, a citizen of Loudoun county, who has been a prisoner for eight months. Some of these passengers reached the city yesterday.
500 dollars reward
--Ran away from the subscriber about the 1st of February last boy John, about 14 or 15 years old, fight copper color, with short, straight hair; had on when he left a new suit of cotton clothes, dyed snuff color.
John was purchased of Dr. Wright, of Alabama.
I have no doubt he is with our army.
The above reward will be paid for his apprehension and delivery to Lee & Bowman, Richmond, Va, or secured in any jail so that I get him. Wm. H. Gwin. jy 14--1m*
