The Southern Rights portion of our citizens held a meeting at the Court-House on Monday last, and appointed delegates to the Congressional Convention to assemble at Suffolk, on the 19th inst. I learn that no preference was expressed, though it seems to be the general impression that Mr. Kindred, of Southampton, will receive the nomination, Mr. Chambliss having declined on account of physical inability. A determined effort will be made to defeat General Millson, who has already inaugurated a vigorous campaign, and will, it is said, thoroughly canvass the district.--He addressed the citizens of Nansemond yesterday at their Court- House in Suffolk.
