Notice.
--There was placed in the jail of the county of Charlotte, on the 23d of March last, a negro man represented as a runaway.
The negro is not disposed to give the name of his owner.
He calls himself by the name of Richard.
I understand from Mr H S Carrott of Greensville co, Va, that this boy was sold in Richmond by Dickinson & Hill, on the 2d or 3d of last December, as the property of James Brown's estate.
The boy is 23 or 24 years old, 5 feet 6 or 8 inches high, has good teeth, and is of dark complexion.
His owner will please come forward, prove property, pay charges, and receive his negro. Thos H Smith, Jailor of Charlotte co, Va. ap 28--1aw6w*
