Quartermaster General. The report, the message, and the accompanying documents were ordered to be printed. On motion of Mr. Sparrow, the bill to regulate the allowance of travelling expenses of officers of the Navy and others travelling under orders, was postponed till to-day. Mr. Wigfall, of Texas, introduced a bill to organize a Bureau of Polytechnics for the examination, experiment, and application of warlike inventions. Referred to the Military Committee. On motion of Mr. Henry, the Senate adjourned. The House concurred in the Senate amendment to the bill for the appointment of an Assistant Secretary of the Treasury for the Trans Mississippi Department, so as to change it to an agent for the war. Postponed. --The meeting which was called for last night at the African Church, for the benefit of maimed soldiers, has been postponed till this evening, at 7 o'clock; at the same place. The following gentlemen will be present, and are expected to address the the meeting: Senator Henry, of Tennessee; Gen. Humphrey Marchall, of Kentucky; and Hon. Mr. Curry, of Alabama. The cause is a good one, and it is earnestly desired that a large attendance will be present.
