Curry Speaker pro tempore Mr. Clay, of Alabama offered a resolution that a committee be appointed by the President of the Senate, to act conjointly with the committee appointed by the House of Representatives, to wait upon the President of the Confederate States and inform him the Congress of the Confederate States is now in session, and ready to receive any communication he may be pleased to submit. Adopted. The President appointed Messrs. Clay, Barnwell, and Henry, to constitute the committee, agreeably to the foregoing resolution.
