There arrived here yesterday, via Danville cars, the Alstead Grays, of Chesterfield county, Capt. Edmond Flournoy, with 46 uniformed members--63 on the roll.
The company were directed to return home.
The Nottoway Rifles, Capt. H. T. Owen, 49 men, and Grays, (of the same county,) Capt. R Connally, 75 men, arrived at the same time.
Arrival of troops.
--The Lynchburg troops arrived last night, about 9 o'clock, and quartered at the Central Hotel.
There were three companies, each numbering over 100 men, namely: Home Guard, Samuel Garland, Jr., Captain.
Rifle Grays, Harrs Langhorne, Captain, and Artillery, H. Latham, Captain.
The latter brought tery of four pieces.
The Infantry companies were fully armed and equipped.
The soldiers were cheered most heartily on their arrival and during the march to their quarters.
